Galafoot Water Depot - Galashiels

Building on our relationship with Scottish Water to upgrade their Depot Facility in Galashiels
Appointed principal contractor in July 2018 our task was to undertake the building refurbishment of their Galafoot Depot Facility in Galashiels.

The works involved the initial relocation and set up of staff to another part of the campus followed by a full building refurbishment incorporating the following elements.

• Electrical Rewire
• AC Installation
• Mechanical & Plumbing Works
• Ventilation Works
• Fire and Security
• Door Access
• Network & Fibre Optic Infrastructure
• Toilet Fit Out
• Kitchen and Tea Prep Points
• Floor Coverings
• Bespoke Joinery Items
• External Civil Works
• External and Internal Signage
• Furniture and Storage

The location of this project as part of the Waste Water Treatment Works presented various challenges that had to be overcome. An existing comms room and fibre infrastructure that required to be kept live at all times with access to Scottish Water staff resulted in us working closely with their on-site operational team. Our in house understanding of their systems and processes allowed us to successfully manage this issue during the implementation of the project.

12 weeks after commencing on site the project was completed on time allowing staff to relocate into a new modern office and operational area.
